One of the roles of the Central Coast Community Women’s Health Centre is to provide advocacy to women needing assistance with service organisations. We are able to assist women who are current clients of the centre (i.e. currently engaged in counselling or groups) with a range of advocacy issues.

One of the key roles of our service is also to conduct advocacy on issues relevant to women’s health, women’s rights and feminism e.g. domestic violence, sexual abuse, housing, reproductive health, abortion, and women’s services.

We have provided submissions to key Senate enquiries on health and on domestic violence in 2015.

We play a major role in the Central Coast Domestic Violence Committee as the Secretary of the Committee, and we are active on a number of sub-committees including CALD, Advocacy and 16 days sub-committees.
